When is the next Southern Manufacturing show?
At time of writing the next shows for Southern Manufacturing and Electronics will take place on 8-10 February 2022
The venue will be Farnborough International Exhibition Centre, a brand new state-of-the-art event venue. It boasts excellent facilities at its 20,000m2 space with free onsite parking. This will come as a welcome surprise to those of you who are used to trade shows with rather substantial parking charges.
Some words from Poppy Sinclair our sales manager
“Having visited Southern Manufacturing a few times, I am excited to attend as an exhibitor so that I can feel the buzz and excitement from the other side of the stand. I have made some fantastic connections with some brilliant companies and I’m hopeful this will happen again! With the mix of industries exhibiting and visiting there are always people with really interesting ideas they want to discuss and I can’t wait to find out how we can help people innovate and create their products.”
What will I likely see at the event?
Southern Manufacturing and Electronics is the “most comprehensive annual industrial exhibition in the UK.” It has a strong focus on new technology with everything from production and assembly, machinery, tooling and components. This show really captures the diversity of the sector known for live demonstrations and products on display.

We’ll be sharing more about our new rapid deployment test fixtures on a far more up close and personal level. We also have some other secret projects under wraps…if you’re impatient and want to hear all the details first then email us saying ‘I wish to subscribe to the Ignys monthly newsletter ’ or use the pop up form at the bottom of our website.

The elephant in the room – will the show be cancelled due to covid-19?
We of course know that the event is based on face to face interactions and that the pandemic, whilst hopefully a lesser threat by this point, may effect the event. We will of course keep you updated about any developments. The good news is since signing up to visit the event is free there’s no consequence to you if the event doesn’t go ahead.
What our new girl Sadia thinks about Southern Manufacturing & Electronics
“It will be our first time exhibiting at the Southern Manufacturing show! I’m thrilled I can meet some of our current customers and suppliers and introduce myself. As the newbie of the office this will also give me an insight into the world of electronics and what it has to offer. The show will be an exciting place to see new technology and the advancements in current technology. I’m not just going for the free sweets! This will be an excellent opportunity for me and the team to speak about Ignys and how we fit in to the world of electronics. We’ve practically tripled in size over the last three years and I can’t wait to share the incredible impact Ignys has had on businesses.”
Our personal memories
If you ask our marketing manager Hannah about the show, she won’t stop talking for days. It’s by far her favourite show.
She’s visited this event for many years due to her background in aluminium extrusion.
She also recalls one famous year where the whole event was almost called off completely due to strong winds. At the time the event was hosted in a huge temporary structure.
We hope to see you at the show!
We miss you already!
Don’t make us wait till the show to talk to us. Book a video call and catch us up on all you’re doing and your plans for 2021. We want all the juicy details.
